On July 03, 2025, at the headquarters of the Banque Nationale de l'Habitat, located at Quartier d'affaires - Bab Ezzouar, in accordance with article 15 of Executive Decree no. 01-124 of May 9, 2001, the Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications announced in a public meeting the results of competitive Bidding procedure no. 01/2025 launched by the Regulatory Authority on May 29, 2025, for the award of three (3) licenses for the establishment and operation of Fifth-Generation (5G) public mobile electronic communications networks and the provision of related services.
As a reminder, on June 22, 2025, the following operators submitted bids for the competitive tender, in the order in which they were submitted :
- Optimum Telecom Algérie (OTA) ;
- Wataniya Télécom Algérie (WTA) ;
- Algérie Télécom Mobile (ATM).
After evaluating the bidders' offers, in accordance with the technical and financial criteria set out in the Competition Rules, the Commission ranked the bidders' offers in the following order:
- Ranked first offer: Algérie Télécom Mobile (ATM);
- Ranked second offer: Wataniya Télécom Algérie (WTA);
- Ranked third offer: Optimum Telecom Algérie (OTA).
As a result, the three (3) operators mentioned above have been declared, by ARPCE, to have been awarded a license for the establishment and operation of Fifth-Generation (5G) public mobile electronic communications networks and the provision of related services.
