Under the slogan ‘Protecting your digital identity starts with knowing everything that is registered in your name,’ and as part of its mission to ensure subscriber protection, the Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications announces the official launch of the new ‘Arkami DZ’ service. This service allows all mobile phone subscribers to check the number of SIM cards registered in their name with their operator.

Accessible via the unique code *254# set up by the Regulatory Authority in collaboration with mobile phone operators, this initiative aims to enable each subscriber to obtain the full number of SIM cards registered in their name with their operator. This proactive measure is fundamental to protecting subscribers against any illegal use of their personal and identity data through SIM cards, given the significant repercussions that such acts can have on security and public order.

• The subscriber dials *254# from their line, then enters their date of birth as part of the identity verification process. They will then receive a text message (SMS) informing them of the total number of SIM cards registered in their name. For further information, subscribers can contact their operator's sales offices.
• The fee for this service is set at five (5) DZD per successful request, which is debited directly from the subscriber's credit.
• In order to ensure that no SIM cards are registered in their name with other operators, the Regulatory Authority invites subscribers to visit the commercial agencies of these operators, bringing with them their valid official identity document.

The Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications emphasises the crucial importance of using this essential service to verify the actual number of SIM cards, reaffirming that digital security is an imperative collective responsibility that cannot be deferred.
