« The launch of the procedure applicable to competitive bidding for the granting of licences shall be decided by the Minister responsible for telecommunications on his own initiative after consulting the regulatory authority or on the latter's proposal, acting on the basis of a case file. In this case, the Minister responsible for telecommunications shall be required to make his decision within one month.».

Renewal

Art 18 of the executive decree no.01-124 of 9 May 2001

«The licence term may not exceed fifteen (15) years. It is specified in the specifications, which define the terms and conditions for its renewal».

Art 42.3 of the 5G terms of reference

« Upon application to the regulatory authority, at least twelve (12) months before the end of the period of validity of the licence, the licence may be renewed, one or more times, for periods not exceeding five (5) years each».
