The approval application shall be accompanied by two files, administrative and technical, containing the following documents:
Administrative file:
- An official identity document for natural persons;
- An extract from the trade register for traders;
- The articles of association for legal persons not carrying on a commercial activity;
- Proof of payment of the fees for processing the administrative dossier;
- The commitment for the sampling of equipment for approval purposes, filled in by the applicant, where applicable.
Technical file:
- The specifications for the electronic communications equipment that is the subject of the application;
- The procedure and/or means for operating the electronic communications equipment in a laboratory, if necessary;
- The declaration of conformity of the electronic communications equipment with the recognised standards, issued by the manufacturer or by its duly authorised representative;
- The declaration of the country of manufacture, issued by the manufacturer or by any other person duly mandated by the manufacturer;
- Test reports, in electronic format, provided by an accredited laboratory, demonstrating the conformity of the electronic communications equipment that is the subject of the application with the standards specified in the declaration of conformity provided by the applicant;
- Accreditation, certified by a document issued by the accreditation body of the country in which the testing laboratory is located;
- The TAC (Type Allocation Code) certificate issued by the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association) for any electronic communications equipment incorporating a mobile cellular access functionality.
All documents constituting the technical file must be imperatively legible and drafted in Arabic, French, or English, including the stamps affixed thereto.
Documents issued by the manufacturer must be signed and stamped, with a clear indication of the name and capacity of the signatory.
Sample:
- The applicant shall submit, against receipt, a sample of the electronic communications equipment within a period not exceeding five (5) working days from the date of submission of the application, except for equipment subject to import;
- The sample must be in perfect working condition, as required for testing and measurements;
- The sample shall be returned to the applicant, upon completion of the tests and measurements, against a delivery receipt;
- The sample must bear labelling in accordance with the requirements set out in the regulations in force;
- Where the sample subject to the application cannot be moved, the tests and measurements shall be carried out on site within a period not exceeding ten (10) working days from the date of submission of the application.
Fees:
In accordance with Order No. 011 of 8 March 2026 establishing the fees for processing approval dossiers for electronic communications equipment, the processing fees for administrative and technical approval dossiers are set as follows:
- Administrative dossier processing fee: an amount of seventeen thousand five hundred Algerian dinars (17 500 DZD),, excluding tax, excluding tax, payable upon submission of the approval application.
- Technical dossier processing fee: an amount of one hundred and fifty thousand Algerian dinars (150 000 DZD), excluding tax, payable upon collection of the certificate of conformity.
