Identification: the customer must be duly identified to the operator.
The SIM/USIM card is for the personal and exclusive use by its legal holder.
In the event of the death of the legal holder of the SIM card, the heirs must visit a commercial agency or a sales point of the relevant operator to terminate the deceased holder’s subscription contract.
When purchasing a phone, make a note of the IMEI number of the phone in question and keep it. This number can then be used to block the phone in the event of theft or loss.
Read subscription contracts carefully when purchasing a chip and ask for a copy of the contract.
In the event of a dispute with the operator, lodge a complaint with the operator concerned. If the operator fails to act on the complaint or if the response is deemed unsatisfactory, the subscriber may escalate the matter to the Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications (“ARPCE”).
When purchasing a phone, customers are advised to buy a phone that has been certified by the ARPCE services, bearing the ARPCE label.
Any subscriber wishing to be reassured about the waves emitted by relay antennas from all operators may submit a request to the ARPCE, which will carry out the necessary checks to ensure compliance with the public exposure limit values for electromagnetic fields, in accordance with the Decision No. 82/SC/PC/ARPT/2015 of 09/12/2015.
